Going Batty

While exploring our new studio space I came across the carcass of a dead bat lying on a window sill. Apparently the flying rodent misinterpreted his flight path and had a head on collision with the reinforced window. We keep his small, shriveled corpse as a reminder to stay on track and not go batty. But really no one wants to touch it.

Lights, Camera, Action.

Before we started our journey to McComb, we
gathered on campus to share a few of our thoughts
about what we might be expecting in the coming
two weeks. Full of excitement and a lot of unknowns,
here is what we had to say.

And now for something completely different...

In deciding to not take the interstate to McComb, Sean and I were fortunate enough to stumble across this school in Magnolia, Mississippi. Those front two pilasters were reason enough to never settle for the mundane interstate ride. I actually turned the car around after we had passed the building, realizing that this building deserved to have its picture taken.

This past weekend, the group that stayed in McComb decided to go on a little adventure. We got on our bikes and road seven miles to Percy Quin State Park. While in the park, we happened across a snowball stand and decided to treat ourselves as the Mississippi sun had been beating down on us all day. The snowballs were excellent, but the icing on the cake had to be the little paper umbrellas that were stuck into the top of each finished snowball...

Last night was the first ever Movie Night at Kramer Roof for the 2010 McComb Main Street Studio.

The West Harlin Project with a team consisting of Mallory, Blair and I are working on options of create a mixed-use renovation which consists of both residential and retail space. We have completed the layouts and preliminary design and are now working on detail work and other specifics. After the client meetings yesterday Roger was very pleased and we now have the ok to continue with no major hold ups

Surveying in Tylertown

While all the teams working in McComb had existing floor plans for their buildings, Sean, James, and I had to survey the historic Walthall Hotel in Tylertown in order to create our floor plans
